This would be a great thing to discuss with your therapist either in a consultation call or in your first session or two.

You will work with your therapist to determine what type of therapy is right for your needs. You don’t need to come to your session prepared, you can just come as you are. If you’re not sure exactly what you want out of the process, you will work with your therapist to outline your goals for therapy.

The most important predictor of a successful outcome of therapy is the relationship you establish with your therapist.

Most insurance companies cover counselling with a counsellor registered as a registered clinical counsellor or a Canadian certified counsellor. Check with your insurance provider to be sure.
