Katherine Young, M.Ed., RCC

Katherine Young Vancouver Therapist, Head and Heart Counselling Downtown Vancouver

In 2005, I started offering clients a place where we could be brave together and stand up against those forces both inside and out that told you that you weren’t beautiful and free to be exactly who you truly are. For the last twenty years, outside of the expectations and group-think of mainstream society I have been offering therapy to people so they could be seen, valued and encouraged to transform into deeper versions of who they are.

Inspired by integral psychology, I have been drawing on the best of western science and esoteric wisdom that has been estranged and discarded for too long now, so I can share an inner freedom and aliveness with clients that are ready.

I have worked to inspire and challenge people to try, to grow and to expand beyond the borders what they believed they could do and be. All these years, until now, it seemed that the only place available for this type of therapy was in private practice slightly outside the realm of the general public.

In the last few years, with new, ground breaking psychedelic research coinciding with the mental health crisis during the pandemic, and the coming of age of the millennial generation, there has been a much needed sea-change in the way mental health is valued and in the perception of alternative methods for promoting healing and freedom from suffering. The world is changing and we at Head and Heart Counselling are expanding to meet that need with high quality, highly trained therapists.

Head and Heart Counselling in Vancouver, BC, is a group of remarkable therapists bringing the best of scientifically validated psychotherapy techniques and time-honoured wisdom traditions to help you process becoming more peaceful, purposeful, connected, and alive.

Therapy that is open, innovative in reach,

authentic, deep and alive.
